La Paz is a lovely city to walk with wide sidewalks. In addition, it is a pedestrian-friendly city. Today, the sky is a beautiful blue, but the temperature is much cooler than the last few days, near 60 F (16 C). In addition, La Paz is the windiest city I have visited so far, but the winds are north of 20 mph (32 kph), making it quite cold today.
I plan to take advantage of the cooler weather to do additional research today. Accordingly, I spend a good portion of the morning with my computer. I don't mind days like this, as I promised myself I would make time to relax and not cram my days full of activities. However, I am disappointed in the weather, and when I head out to grab lunch, I find it strange that I must wear long pants, a jacket, and a neck gaiter to stay warm today.
The streets of La Paz resemble those of suburbia cities in the United States, with a few older cars. Nevertheless, the streets are clean, and vehicle traffic is minimal despite all the parked cars. Making it a very safe place to wander.
I wander through town, wondering where I am headed for lunch. I know I've arrived when I pass Mc-Fisher, a local seafood taco stand. The place is quiet and offers 2-for-1 Pina Coladas, which is just my speed. In addition, to my fish tacos, I order a Ceviche Tostada. A tostada is a corn tortilla that has been fried flat and served open-faced. The fish ceviche is fantastic! Pedritos' in Madrid is better, but very enjoyable nevertheless.
Before the sun sets, I wander back to the Malecon and find a place to sit with a beer. Fortunately, I can put the wind at my back and enjoy my Pacifico beer while waiting for the colors to turn. Today is one of the few days with the right amount of clouds in the sky, so I hope to see some colors tonight.
Near a quarter to 6 pm, the sun dives below the horizon.
The little that I make time for makes my travels enjoyable. So even though it was cold and windy, I took the opportunity to sit and watch the sunset without feeling to do any more. The sun appears to have been dragged in a zig-zag fashion across the sky as it disappeared below the whimsy clouds tonight.
I always wonder how a sunset will turn out. All that is required of me is to be present. It will reveal itself in due time. This is a reminder to be patient with myself and let things unfold. All will be revealed and will fall into place.

To be present, and to be patient and let things unfold. In travel and in life. will be filling up a few pages in my journal! :)
